I have been drawn to the simple, shimmering beauty of the salt printing technique since being taught this process in 2006, while attending Pittsburgh Filmmakers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
My mentor, Sue Abramson, has been my inspiration and presently still is.
Whether it be digital, or in the darkroom, my subjects are deeply rooted within natures surroundings.
The beauty and serenity of the outdoors is a large part of my being, a connection that keeps me close to my identical twin sister who lives 1,643 miles away in Pennsylvania.
Whether the subject of my photography, the ingredients for Sara’s apothecaries,
or her art of woodblock printmaking, Mother Nature is the base of our creations and her energy has always radiated from deep within us.
